MONTENEGRO IS CALLING ME, MONTENEGRO IS CALLING YOU...

Montenegro is calling me... inspired by Boka Kotorska, I write the first lines of my book while sitting on the beach.

.."The sun descended over the Montenegrin coast, painting the sky with shades of orange and purple. The smell of salt and figs hovered in the air while the sea gently caressed the coast. The seaside resorts have come together with their surroundings: narrow stone streets leading to old churches and fortresses, squares where tourists gathered under the shadow of ancient plane trees, and scents of Mediterranean vegetation that refined the air. The sea was the color of sapphire, changing shades from deep blue to light green along the coast, while fishing boats sailed aware of their significance in the lives of people who fought with them and lived with them. Village homes, stone houses that harmoniously fit into the landscape, with stone terraces where the elderly grew their olives and figs, embellished the coast while preserving the tradition that has lasted for centuries. In a small coastal village, hidden between rocks and olive trees, lived Stana. Granny Stana, as everyone in the village called her, was the keeper of old stories and wisdom that were passed from generations to generations. Its stone house stood in the midst of lush green vegetation, whose leaves rustled with a song of winds from the Adriatic. Every morning, Granny Stana would sit on her terrace, watching the sun rise above the waves, lighting up a lump of fishing boats in the bay. Her wrinkles were like maps telling stories of times when older people were still talking about wolves wandering the mountains and ghosts living in the woods. There were few people in the village, but they were as unique as the landscapes they called their home. There was Nicholas, a fisherman whose dreams of the sea were deeper than the ocean in which he was fishing. Next to him lived Ana, a young artist who turned her canvas into a mirror of the sun reflected in the water. Each of them carried part of the soul of Montenegro, a country as old as the rocks on which they stood. In the light of the setting sun, Granny Stana would gather the children of the village around her, telling them stories about the knights from Lovcen, the miracles of Ostrog and the secrets of Skadar Lake. Her words were like magic that preserved the tradition and identity of this region. But one summer day, when the wind brought the smell of pine and salt, there was an event that changed everything ..

.. As the sun set behind the horizon, Boka Kotorska sinked into golden and purple shades, creating a scene that remained engraved in the memories of all who visited it. The calm sea reflected the sky, creating the illusion that the sky merged with water, while the boats gently anchored in the port, waiting for a new morning that would bring new journeys and new stories" ..

Montenegro is now calling you to feel the spirit of the Montenegrin coast and visit the Bay of Kotor/Boka Kotorska.

Boka Kotorska is like a ring hidden among the mountain peaks, with deep bays stretching like fingers into the sea. The high mountains, rich in dense forest, create a spectacular frame around the bay. Mountains keep their secrets in their green folds. Each cliff is a special story, with paths leading to remote monasteries and churches. The rocks are seen in the water as guards of the past, testifying to the winds that shaped their contours throughout the ages. Each village along the coast bears the stamp of time, with its stone houses merging in harmony, creating an image that is both rustic and fairytale-like. Ancient stone houses anchored along the coast overlooking the crystal sea make part of the magic of the bay.
